Electromagnetic Door Closers

Electromagnetic door closers are linked with a building fire alarm system so that when the fire alarm is activated the power to the closers is cut and doors shut. The Electromagnetic Door Closer Series is a range of fixed power door closers with an integrated electromagnetic hold open mechanism. When connected to the building fire alarm or detection system each door closer unit can be set to either hold-open or swing-free operation. In either case the power of the door closer can be temporarily disabled to allow free passage. When de-activated the electromagnet disengages and the door closer closes the door in the normal manner to maintain fire safety.
